Me with Gabe Saporta of Cobra Starship
Me with Cobra Starship's Lead singer Gabe Saporta after the Cobra Starship/ Cute is What we Aim for concert on Thursday September 20, 2007 at the Stamp Student Union on the campus of the University of Maryland. This was Cobra Starship's first show in the U.S. in a while and man was it a good one especially since I got to meet them after the show! Buy their album! oh and put ur fangs up!

Week 9. Thing #23
My Summary:
1. My favortie exercise was probably playing with youtube, and also making my little avavtar dude. He does the Thriller Dance and drops like it is hot.
2. I gained knowledge of technology that I did not know much about before.
3. I never realized how much this stuff was all around me until I started the 23 Things program. All of these things are in people's everyday lives more and more.
4. Have a better tutorial system. Some of the stuff was kind of hard to understand without any background knowledge of the technology. Also it would have worked better if we were placed in groups to help one another out.

6. I know more now about internet technology than I did before, and how it can be applied to every aspect of the work place and home.

I went on Gutenburg and found some highly interesting material. I think this service is great because you can download and listen to books for free right in your very own home or at your public library.

Week 9. Thing #21
With podcasts it is easy to find news about different things, and I like getting info about movie and music reviews. I found a High School Musical 2 review so that was cool.
Week 9. Thing #20 Fullmetal Alchemist - Banana Phone
I used youtube a lot before this assignment and already like it. In the library we could use it for finding information about many different things. I picked this Fullmetal Alchemist version of banana phone because I love FMA and this is so funny so watch it.
Week 8. Thing #19
I picked the site called Arcaplay free online gaming. It is useful for entertainment purposes. It could be useful as far as entertaining kids in the library as well as maybe helping with story time. I found the games to be fun and really cool. I will continue to play them. I'm glad I found this site.
Week 8. Thing #18
The document below is one that i created using google docs. I thought it was tons o' fun making this cool document. It is neat how you can publish and share things right on the web with the online word proccessing programs.

I put my hot blog on the favorite blog page of the Maryland libraries Sandbox wiki. I like how people all over the world can check out my hotness. Peanut Butter Wikis are yummy!

week 7, thing #16
I found it interesting that anybody can post to a wiki and edit anything that already exists on a page. This is something that is constantly evolving and it is a fast and easy way to communicate with a team of people. This is another way other than email to communicate with a group of people wich is why it is beneficial to libraries! A whole team of people can collaborate on developing projects and participate in the feedback process as well injecting ideas. Wikis are very user-friendly and empower the person/persons utilizing them. They are good for anything from great reads to finding out what's happening in the communities at other library systems.

23 things week 6 thing #15 perspectives of web 2.0, and library 2.0
i believe they are trying to say that real people are going to end up getting replaced by computers in the librarys. I however can't see where this is going to happen. Most people like to interact face to face with another human when they check items out not a stupid computer screen.

I was suprised to see that youtube was not the # 1 search since people are always on it. This site seems to make it easy to find blogs and search for different things.

using Del.icio.us to tag and organize your bookmarks is a really good way to keep all of the websites you like organized and easy to find from what I saw. You can also see things that other people are interested in as well making it fun to experiment with new sites that I would not have gone to before.

My library thing catalog is in the post below. I thought this was pretty sweet because I could find the books I like and organize them in one place so I could look at them. It also lets u conect with peeps who like the same books as u do.

You can kind of put my last post with the week 5 stuff, but I cooked up something else that is pretty flippin' sweet. I made a South Park character!

23 Things week 4 thing # 9 Merlin and other fun stuff project
As you can see I had some fun with this. I mad a Mee! Check his sweet moves out. Rockin' the Thriller Dance just like the king of pop! He's popin' his collar and sportin' some super hot jeans. I think I liked Merlin better as far as finding feeds go. I found that it was easier and a heck of a lot more fun to use.

Week 4 thing #8 RSS feed
RSS feed seems to be an efficient way to find news and other various things of interest that people would want to find. It was a groovy experience and I thought it was very informationally cool and fantastic. The library could use it to get info to people in an efficent way i suppose.
Week 3 thing #7 Technology
wMy ipod is rockin' cool. I can download hot beatz from the itunes online store. It is 80GBs and it is cool beans. I have over 1,000 rockin' tunes on it like Maroon 5 and such. It is so hot! and it is black. It also plays videos and movie which I like to download on hot summer days. LOST is the coolest show that i have on my ipod and I have the whole 2nd season. ipods are killer awesome cool technology!

71/2 learning habits week one thing # 2
Greetings from Lostone! This is all so new to me. I guess in the weeks to come I'll feel more comfortable and confident. The hardest thing for me will be viewing problems as challanges. I think the easiest thing is taking responsibility for learning new things and discovering how many resources are available to accomplish tasks, especially with the help of friends!
